DESCRIPTION |
| Dispersion Pistol
|
HotKey 1 - The Dispersion Pistol
is the first weapon you find in the game. It is also
the weapon you should use whenever possible, as it
is the only weapon which regenerates its own ammunition
for you. Because it is so useful, be sure to keep
looking for Dispersion Pistol power-up items. If your
Dispersion Pistol is low on ammo, take a rest in some
safe spot for a while until it fully charges. The
Dispersion Pistols primary fire is one quick shot.
The alternate fire is slower to build up, but you
can deliver a stronger shot after charging by releasing
the button. This is best used for shooting an unsuspecting
enemy, or for charging up and then ducking around
a corner to shoot a Tentacle or other stationary monster.
After you find some power-ups, you can tap the alternate
fire button to get a quick low power shot to open
crates without draining too much charge from the pistol.
You can also use the Dispersion Pistol shot to light
up a dark area. Just be careful not to run out of
power while doing this. If you can get an Amplifier,
the Dispersion Pistol turns into the most damaging
weapon in the game. Save that Amplifier for really
tough monsters! |
| AutoMag |
HotKey 2 - The AutoMag is the second
weapon you will get. It fires bullets, and can hit
things quickly, which makes it hard for tricky monsters
to dodge the fire. The primary fire can be held down
for an auto-repeat, or you can hold the alternate
fire down for a quicker but less accurate auto- repeat.
Switch to secondary fire if the monster is on top
of you. Watch out that you don't have to change clips
at the wrong time. It might be better to fire off
those last few shots in an old clip to get a fresh
clip ready for the next encounter. |
| Stinger |
HotKey 3 - The Stinger is a good
automatic fire weapon. It uses Tarydium crystals as
ammo, and luckily for you, the planet is loaded with
the stuff. With primary fire, you get a constant tight
stream of high speed fire. This is great against a
lot of the monsters you will be meeting. In alternate
fire, you get a shotgun-like blast. Ammo drains quickly
in primary fire mode, so be careful using this. |
| ASMD |
HotKey 4 - The ASMD is a very versatile
weapon. It fires a fast, powerful blast from the primary
fire. It also can deliver a slower alternate blast.
If you time it right, you can fire the alternate blast,
and while it is still traveling, hit it with the primary
blast. This generates a nice purple shock wave that
is quite damaging. The blast from this weapon can
also move things around. It is tops for killing underwater
monsters, as the shock wave is most effective in water.
The Amplifier also boosts the ASMD. |
| 8-Ball Launcher |
HotKey 5 - Why does the 8 Ball Gun
shoot only 6 at a time? Who can say. This is a tricky
weapon to use, with five operating modes.
1) You can tap primary fire and get a single rocket,
with target lock if you wait
for the red circle to appear. This is great against
moving targets, as the
missile will track them.
2) You can tap the secondary fire
to launch a single grenade.
3) You can hold down primary fire,
and after 6 loads (which seems like a long
time loading if you are under attack) it will fire
a horizontal line of 6
missiles.
4) You can hold down the secondary
fire, and after 6 loads fire a group of 6
grenades.
Learning to bounce these into areas you can't shoot
directly is a great skill.
5) You can hold both buttons down,
and get a tight circle of 6 rockets. A great
heavy-duty attack against tough monsters.
If you are going to use any of the
multiple fire options, it is best to start loading
the weapon before poking around a corner to use
it. Usually you can start getting into shooting
position at the fourth load, and still have time
to get the aim right.
|
| Flak Cannon |
HotKey 6 - The Flak Cannon is another
good weapon. It's a little slow to fire but it's also
strong. In primary fire mode, it acts as a shotgun.
The blast can bounce around a bit, which can be useful.
In secondary mode, it lobs a shell which explodes
on contact. This can be used to get monsters on a
bridge that can't see you, or to get shielded monsters
from the side or behind. |
| Razor Jack |
HotKey 7 - The Razor Jack is tricky
to use and can easily hurt you as well as the enemy.
In primary mode, the weapon fires a cross between
a Frisbee and a giant shirokin. This sharp edged projectile
bounces from wall to wall for quite some time, until
it hits somebody. In secondary mode, you can steer
it after firing -- just keep the cross hairs on the
target. You can use this weapon effectively to cut
enemies hidden in a right angle tunnel to ribbons.
Watch for a well placed neck shot, as you can cut
the head of a monster off in one shot if you get it
right. |
| GES BioRifle |
HotKey 8 - The GES BioRifle seems
like a poor weapon, as it just shoots a green jelly
a short distance. But it really can be used very well
in several situations. First, in close up fighting,
you can put a lot of green jelly on a monster in a
hurry, and that stuff stings! Secondly, if it doesn't
hit a living target right away, it acts like a land
mine. If you know a Skaarj is coming down a tunnel
for you, plaster the floor with green slime. He will
likely blow himself up walking toward you. Hold secondary
fire down to get great big globs. You can also use
the glowing jelly as a sort of a night light when
you don't want to waste a flare. |
| Assualt Rifle |
HotKey 9 - The Assault Rifle is
the neatest weapon in the game. It is a sniper rifle
-- fast and accurate in the primary firing mode. But
it also has a great sniper scope. Use the alternate
fire to zoom in on the target, or just for sight seeing.
The combination of zoom and primary fire make it the
only tool to use for sniping on a distant foe. Shots
to the head seem to do more damage, and with luck
may also give a beheading. Never use the last bullet,
so you can use the sniper scope whenever you want.

| Killing Monsters
|
Ever get tired of one particular
kind of monster? You can kill them all with this handy
cheat. Go to the command prompt by using the tilde
key, and type "Killall monster" without
the quotes. In place of the word "monster",
use the name of the type of monster you wish to banish
from the game.

| Direct Commands |
Here's some more commands that take
effect right away. These must be entered at the command
prompt. You get the command prompt by using the tilde
key (~).
Behindview0 - use first person view (normal)
Behindview1 - use third person view (like Tomb Raider)
Flush - very useful (fixes corrupted graphics or text)
Fly - lets you fly
Ghost - lets you walk through walls
God - makes you invulnerable to most things
Invisible - enemies can't see you
Invisible 0 - ends Invisible
Killpawns - kills all monsters
Playersonly - freezes monsters or unfreezes them
Slomo - controls the speed of the game (1= normal)
Suicide - instant death
Walk - turns off fly and ghost |

Jumping Levels
|
Another good cheat when you just
want to get to the next level is just to jump there.
You must get the command prompt by using the tilde
key (~), and then type "open map" without
the quotes. Instead of using the word map, however,
use one of these names...
Bluff
Ceremony
Chizra
Dark
Dasacellars
Dasapass
Dcrater
Dig
Dug

Another way passed the levels is to
type "ORDILOGICUS" at the title screen.
The screen will flash if it worked. This will give
you god mode and let you go to the next level by
pressing the 'RETURN' key.

| How To Summon |
Summon is one of the commands you
can type at the command prompt. To get to the command
prompt, press the shift + tilde (~) key, which is
the squiggle next to the exclamation point on most
keyboards. You can also use the Tab key for a single
command. Once you have the command prompt showing,
you can type "summon item" without the quote
marks, of course. Instead of "item", however,
use the name of the item that you want. If you do
it right, that item will appear in front of you. Some
items take a certain amount of space and will not
show up in places that are too small. |
| Weapons And Ammo
|
If you are in need of a special weapon
or more ammo, cheat and do a "summon item"
from this list of weapons and ammo. For the big
cheat, just type in "allammo" and tank
up on everything.
key weapon ammo
dispersionpistol recharges itself
automag clip or shellbox
stinger stingerammo
ASMD ASMDammo
eightball rocketcan
flakcannon flakbox
razorjack razorammo

| Monsters |
Is it a little too quiett for your
taste? Go to the command prompt by pressing the shift
+ tilde key (~), and type "summon queen"
without the quote marks. Here is a list of other playmates
you can call up. The names are self explanatory.
Babycow - cuuuute!
Bird1 - there is no Bird2
